ChaCha: Answer ?'s online-No Phone - No Selling

For those of you that may not have heard of ChaCha they are a company that people can text various questions to. They frequently hire home workers in various positions to respond to these questions.

ChaCha Guide Referral Email Address: MyAmeriplan@Gmail.com

Apply at the link below.

ChaCha Guide Roles:

Expeditor

Expeditors are like the Air Traffic Controllers of the ChaCha world. It’s your speedy, savvy work that keeps the questions flying in a swift, orderly fashion to the right places. Whether they departed the customer’s phone as voice or text, you are responsible for their on-time arrival in the hands of the right Specialist. At times, you’ll even intercept questions yourself and provide an instant answer to the customer.

As an Expeditor, you sit at the crux of the system, converting all incoming questions into a standard form, determining if answers already exist, and categorizing the questions so they’re routed to the best available Guides. We think the Expeditor role is a perfect fit for Guides who prefer a more systematic set of tasks. Roger, that!

Requires: Strong grammar and spelling, excellent general knowledge, fast typing, quick decision-making, and strong reasoning ability.

Generalist

Generalists are the ChaCha version of the know-it-all, the renaissance man/woman, or the resourceful friend everyone calls. You are able to comprehend, research, and answer any question thrown at you, regardless of subject matter.

Though you possess many of the same attributes as a Specialist, you enjoy the thrill of the unexpected, and possess the Internet search skills to make you seem like an expert even when you’re not. You are resourceful with a capital “R” and enjoy helping customers while continually learning new things.

Requires: Exceptional Internet search skills, strong general knowledge, good grammar and spelling, fast typing, strong reasoning ability, and sound judgment.

Registration for the Generalist and Specialist roles is combined, so you may only see one of the two roles listed as you proceed.

Specialist

Specialists research and craft answers to customer questions that fall into areas of their particular knowledge and interests. Working from a well formed question that the Expeditor delivers, the Specialist blazes a fast trail on the Web to an accurate answer from an authoritative source.

Your key distinction as a Specialist is in signing up for specific ChaCha Categories, so that you are first in line to receive incoming Questions that match your respective expertise. Because as a Specialist you’re able to focus your skills and energies on answering questions of greater familiarity, you can handle question volume faster and more efficiently.

Requires: Specific knowledge in chosen subject areas, exceptional Internet search skills, strong reasoning ability, sound judgment, good grammar and spelling, fast typing, and strong general knowledge.

Registration for the Generalist and Specialist roles is combined, so you may only see one of the two roles listed as you proceed.

.Transcriber

Transcribers are the Guides who make ChaCha’s voice answer service the absolute smartest one anywhere. As a Transcriber, you listen to the voice questions that customers call into 1-800-2ChaCha and convert them to text questions.

You’re knowledgeable about people, places and things, and have sharp ears to interpret even muffled questions (possibly from a crowded subway or noisy restaurant). In other words, you’re far better than any computer at deducing what our customers are asking, and correctly interpreting nuances and names. (Note: This is not like being a telephone operator — you hear only recorded audio.)

Requires: Good ears, good spelling, fast typing, broad general knowledge, and the smarts to figure out what customers are really asking when they call in.

No Phone Required Home Job

For those who are looking to work as an online writer there are various companies that you can apply with as a  freelance writer. Examiner.com is one of the ones that is a home job not a business, and does not require a phone. You have to complete an application and be accepted. Examiner.com is currently looking for Examiners in the Fresno area and nationwide. If you are good at grammar, and are knowledgeable in a subject (which everyone is) Here are the steps to the process of becoming an Examiner:

1) Visit Examiner.com and click “Write for us”. Then click “Apply Now”
2) Choose your topic or suggest one.
3) Fill out the requested information (be sure to include Melissa Van Horn, the ID # 36092, or “Fresno Work From Home Examiner” as your referrer)
4) Complete your list of qualifications (which can be any type of writing or knowledge you have on the  topic), and submit a writing sample on your chosen topic.

After submitting your application it becomes a waiting game. On average you should hear something in about two weeks. If you are accepted you will receive an e-mail explaining the next steps to getting started.

Remember, the key to making money by writing is to write good quality articles frequently. You are also going to want to promote you articles; social networking is a good way to do this.

Using Twitter for your home business

Twitter is often a great marketing tool for those with a home business. Twitter is fairly easy to use.
1) After signing up for a Twitter account customize your page with all of your information.
2) Start getting followers: add a link to your Twitter page on your signatures; follow others and often they will follow you in return (a faster way to do this is using BirdyAdder, the program automates you following others which frees up your day).
3) Post at least 3-5 tweets per day
The more followers you have, the more effective your marketing is.

Low Cost Health/Dental for Employees

When first begining to hire employees, expensive health/dental is often not in the budget. However, many prospective employees look for this before accepting a position. So what do you do if you are either unable to afford any insurance, or have a high deductible insurance? One alternative to go with or in place of insurance is to offer a discount plan, like Ameriplan®.
Ameriplan® offers discount programs for health, dental, pharmacy, chiropractor, and more. Everyone quailifies and pre-existing conditions are accepted.
Ameriplan® has also been recommended for pregnant women.
There are many discount companies out. Do your research and decide what is best for you. Check the rating with the BBB,  Ameriplan® has an "A" rating with the BBB.
Ameriplan® accepts members from the Fresno area and nationwide. Always check what any companies offer in your area, as some companies have limitations for certain areas depending on state and locality. For the Fresno, CA area  Ameriplan® has no limitations on coverage except for anything specifically excluded by the plan.

E-How Closing the Doors on the WCP

Early last week E-How announced that they would be closing the doors on the Writers Compensation Program (WCP). All new article published after the cut off date of April 13, 2010 will have to be published through Demand Studios (DS), the parent company to E-How. Both companies are in the process of moving writers over to DS if they meet the acceptance requirements. Those that do not meet the requirements can apply on their own. DS offers both upfront pay and residual. The upfront pay ranges from $3-$15 depending on the type of article. They also have many special projects available that pay even more. Although I have never used their residuals program, I am told that it is similar to E-Hows pay. They have added features that allow you to select your own title and have changed their policy to pay lifetime residuals. DS does have editors who check all articles. The pro to editors is that they can encourage us to become better writers. The downside is that rewrites and rejections are frustrating.
I have recently just published my first 2 articles with DS, and although I did have rewrites for a few minor things, I can say that the editors were very polite and helpful.
For me, I view this as a good thing. I was accepted at DS several months ago because I wanted the editorial oversight to improve my writing However, I have never published with them until now, I was to nervous that my work would not be accepted. Now I am in some ways being pushed to publish using DS, and I think that this will help me to improve my writing greatly.
